Monday: Todd was getting a ride home in a taxi. He hopped in the front seat to avoid motion sickness, slid the chair back and it kept going back, completely off the rails. He said he ended up in the back seat, partially reclined. He rode that way all the way home and tried to fix the seat when he got out but the driver waved him off. Then when he had the YM on the field trip to the airport, the taxi driver reached over and rubbed his forearm. Apparently having arm hair isn't common in China. He looked at Todd and they both laughed.
Tuesday: (Todd)
I
had a great birthday week.
T
hanks for all of the nice notes and well-wishes.
I
took the scouts to the Shenzhen Airlines HQ to check out the flight simulators to finalize their aviation merit badge. Our branch president set helped set it up through one of the pilots he has on staff with SZ airlines.
T
he simulators where amazing (737s and A320s).
I'm
helping to prep for the youth conference /trek this coming weekend in Beijing. All the international youth in China are invited. Should be around 100. Chase, Brooke and Brigham all going.Hope you all had a great Easter.
We had seminary and then Todd's birthday breakfast/presents. For lunch we all went with him to SimplyLife. Chase headed home to meet with the tutor and we followed shortly behind after a stop at the apple store and H & M. A simple dinner and then to the gym. He's not hard to please. The girls are loving the zumba class.
WEDNESDAY: (BRYNN) Today I did some school, went to the field with Shane, brigs, and chase, went to tennis and got 175+ mosquito bites on my body:) (NOT KIDDING, it looks like she has chicken pox!) We counted them, dotting them with chiggerex, our anti itch medicine!! Also, our neighbor James came over. Miss you all and can't wait to see you!!!! :* Brynn
THURSDAY: (BRIGHAM) So today was a pretty good day. Chase, brooke, and I had seminary till 8:05. After seminary I went upstairs into my room for a nap. Woke up from my nap at about 10:30. Chase and Brooke also took naps about the same time. Then we did school until 1:30. At 1:30 we had Chinese class then all the girls went to Luohu. While the girls were there chase and I went to our basketball game. It is for a league inShenzhen. During all of this our dad was at work. Then we went to this one burger place on the way home from the game. When we got home we watched a little TV then went to bed.

The girls and I had a hard time finding the game. We walked and walked and walked and mapped and arrived just as their game was ending. We couldn't find a taxi to get home so a nice lady drove us to a subway stop. We got some gelato at a place we have heard about but could never find, and then found a taxi. It took forever to get home in traffic. LOST and FOUND.
FRIDAY: (SOPHIE) so today mom and I went to Hong Kong on a date and we woke up really early and then we went to the fairy terminal and then we got on the fairy then we went to go look at this new store (marks & spencer) and it was so cool then we ate pizza out side and it was so good then we went shopping the end.
When we got home from Hong Kong, the doorbell rang. Sophie said it was one of Brooke's friends from church. Brooke went to the door and found the dozen roses and a whiteboard with a message asking her to prom. Chase was planning on taking her for a stress-free date, but now he will have to find another date. Smith Pothier asked her and she's looking forward to going to her first high school dance! Hopefully she won't be too jet-lagged to boogie. Leave it to Chase to mix up the letters in his name to spell "he is hot rmpit".
Saturday, (CHASE) woke up and played basketball with Brig, Shane, Ernesto jr., and Dad. We went to go see Captain America along with the Raygozas and Hey Ho. We ate dinner at a grocery store in the mall that cooks in front of you. Then we came home and watched Seinfeld. Shane and the Raygozas (Shumway), another English teaching newlywed couple, stayed with us for Easter Weekend, he is from Mexico and she is from Colorado Springs.
